Whether you choose a small village restaurant or something more grand the area is home to some wonderful food.
The local Blonde Aquitaine beef is held in such high esteem it has its own festival ‘Fete de la Blonde’ held nearby each year.
The Romans first planted vines here over 2000 years ago and today the Jurançon appellation (one of the first in France, dating from 1936) currently consists of 1,000 hectares of vines in 25 communes.
Through the summer villages host ‘Marche des Producteurs’ where you can sample local produce and enjoy a meal al fresco.
